Kort beskrivning av företaget: Occupational and Environmental Medicine is a unit within the department of Public Health and Community Medicine with closely cooperating staff from University of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska University Hospital. The research is focused on the health effects of exposure to chemical and physical factors as well as the influence of stress and organizational factors in the workplace and the surrounding environment. We investigate patients and workplaces and offer education for medical and other students, graduate students, personnel at local health units and authorities. Education is also offered in the fields of company health service, insurance medicine and work environment.

Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter: SUBJECT AREA DESCRIPTION: Occupational and Environmental Medicine has a focus on the interplay between the work environment and the general environment and health, and on the prevention of work- and environment related diseases. JOB ASSIGNMENTS: The holder of the position is expected to initiate and conduct research within the area. The holder is also expected to play a prominent role in education and knowledge dissemination, both within the university's education programs and in the surrounding regional and national society. Clinical service is included as well as administrative duties. The holder is expected to take management assignments either within the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg or at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: ELIGIBILITY:The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. Proven scientific and pedagogical skills. Qualification as a registered physician with specialist competence in Occupational and Environmental Medicine or comparable clinical specialty. ASSESSMENT: First assessment criterion is documented scientific and pedagogical skills. Second assessment criterion is administrative skills. Special emphasis will be placed on experience and high clinical competence in occupational and environmental medicine, as well as good communication skills and experience in collaboration with labour market partners and the surrounding society. The successful applicant may also be asked to complete an educational training program within the first year of employment.
