hela Sverige We are 10 employees at ABB Robotics in Bredaryd. By size a small unit, but we have the whole world as our market. Partly, that is due to the fact that we get to work with the whole chain - from estimations to installation at the customer's. So, do you want to develop, work with the freedom to plan your own work and have responsibility over your own work? Then this might be the right challenge for you.
We build robot solutions adapted for customers for the Swedish as well as the international plastics industry. We are also a part of the application centre ABB RAC MTT in Jönköping. With us you will drive and develop robot programming, manage simulations in ABBs simulation software tool Robotstudio, support existing robot techniques and create new programmes. You will manage the whole process on site - from start to finish, and your workdays will include some extent of travelling. Our projects also gives you the opportunity to travel abroad.
Your personal characteristics are important to us. As a robot programmer, you need to be social and enjoy working closely with your co-workers. You are comfortable with taking initiatives and you want to keep growing and developing. You are also open to new ideas, flexible and independent.
You have a secondary school education or equivalent, as a base. This you have combined with several years' experience of robot programming. The role also requires that you have good computer experience. It is a plus with experience from mechatronics, PLC programming, the plastics industry and/or the manufacturing industry and knowledge about ABB's Robotstudio. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoke alike. If you also are proficient in German, Spanish or French, it is to your advantage. A driver's license is a must.
You will be part of ABB Robotics in Bredaryd. We develop, manufacture and market robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. Our bases are in Västerås, Jönköping and the Gothenburg area in Sweden.
Over 90% of our production is exported and our customers include all major auto manufacturers. The auto industry and its sub suppliers and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry, are automating their production with robots. Welding, machine tending, materials management, grinding, packaging and assembly are the most common applications. Our robots and applications are sold via local ABB companies and via independent systems integrators and OEM companies - companies we call our Partners. The unit has about 6500 employees.
