Come and work with us at Road, traffic and Environment. We belong to the Department of Built Environment East.
Our section works locally, nationally and internationally with, for example, the production of construction documents for development areas and roads. We also act as advisors in earlier stages and help our customers to drive planning and permit processes.
We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of our team in the role of road designer. In this role, you are offered the opportunity to be involved and influence some of the most exciting projects in community development in Sweden. Examples of some of the major projects we are working on at COWI Built Environment include the Borås-Gothenburg railway plan, Highspeed 2 in the UK and the East Link.
In your daily work you will:
• Creating and implementing smart solutions within road and street design
• Overseeing the technical design for projects of all sizes
• Working with other team members to deliver project designs
• Working together with clients to implement value engineering for optimal outcomes.

The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.
On top of that, you will have:
• A degree in civil engineering or relevant technical education
• Have a deep technical knowledge and a drive to develop yourself and your colleagues
• Have at least 2 years of experience in road design
• Good knowledge of both Swedish and English
