The church council of the Armenian Apostolic church in Stockholm has an open position for a monk of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
The job is divided into two main responsibilities.
First responsibility is to represent the Armenian Apostolic Church in Scandinavia in different contexts and also be head of all employees of the church in Scandinavia. This requires direct approval of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin.
The second responsibility is to work as reverend for the Stockholm community and this job includes following responsibilities.
• Church service every second Sunday and all church holidays.
• Provide for the spiritual need of the church members
• Provide for the church Sacraments
• Work with all Armenian organizations and non-Armenian organizations that have relation to the church.
The applicant must have a degree as archimandrite in the Armenian Apostolic church and speak fluent Armenian and be able to communicate in English.
Who are you?
We think you are young and full of energy. You love to work with people and see the church members as your family. You can conduct powerful church service and can take a leading position in the Armenian community. You must be able to organize and lead the Armenian Apostolic Church in Scandinavia.
As we think you do not have residence permit in Sweden we have to inform you that due to this and our economic situation there are specific rules from the Swedish Migration Board to consider. Therefore the position is initially for three months but will be prolonged with aim to offer permanent job within one year.
The church council will provide with furnished apartment and give a salary normal for this occupation.
