Digitalization and technical innovation have transformed many industries and created many options in terms of offerings, payment models and ways of accessing different services. Consequently, consumers' expectations on how to solve their mobility needs and getting access to cars and mobility are changing as well.
As a premium OEM with a progressive brand, we are looking to develop future automotive retail, with progressive solutions with contemporary approach that allows Volvo Cars to grow its business more profitably.
The Retail Strategy department is a part of Global Retail.
Retail strategy is not working in isolation but has impact on many different and important parts of our business. The Retail Strategy department evaluates implications on our and our retail partners' business model, develops transformation roadmap, as supporting Global Retail departments, Regions and markets in implementation of the strategic initiatives.
As Retail Strategy Senior Manager you are a part of the Retail Strategy team of appr 8 people. We foster team spirit and collaborative approach, working together in different team constellations and work streams.
Main responsibilities:
* Responsible for several work streams, such as developing and defining strategies, Evaluate retail partners' business models, developing transformation roadmap(s) and aligning these with stakeholders
* Ability to prioritize and identify key levers in assignments
* Business case structuring
* Structure and perform analysis that address business issues and generate insights about e.g. retail area performance
* Communication and stakeholder management
* Support of Global Retail departments, Regions and markets
* Close co-operation with Sales Regions, Global Customer Service and Global Marketing
* Reports to Head of Retail Strategy department
Required qualifications
* University degree in Business Administration or similar qualifications
* Thorough understanding of automotive industry with dealer business model
* Experience of developing complex business models
* Project management skills, managing cross functional projects in multicultural environments
* Very strong MS office knowledge and experience (Excel and Power Point)
* Fluent in English written and spoken
* Experience of business development of minimum 5 years
* Meritorious: Experience of business strategy consulting 4+ years
