Resident Manufacturing Engineering Manager, location China
Volvo Cars Engine (VCE), a unit within Volvo Cars Manufacturing, produces engines and components for Volvo Car Corporation, Ford and other external customers.
VCE is currently setting up a new production in the China Engine Plant, and is searching for a Resident Manufacturing Engineering Manager to assure the optimized production launch. Your will manage the manufacturing-, productivity- and specialist engineering, and be responsible for change over decided industrialization programs.

Job profile:
• Responsible for the manufacturing engineering function (production, result, budget and resource planning)
• Establish and implement the new line function
• Support and steer various projects according to decided technical strategies
• Implement a structured production process development in accordance with VCE, Sweden
• Ensure the competence and manning of the industrializations programs
• Responsible for the Swedish and Chinese personnel and competence development
• In this position you will report to the home based VCE ME manager but also to the local General Manager, VCE, China
Your profile:

• Senior management experience
• Great technical skills
• Experience in production and production development
• Preferably experience from automotive or similar industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Good analytical skills
• Patient with high integrity
• Global mindset and ability to work in multicultural teams
• Ability to shift from details to an overall holistic process view
• Structured and well organized
• University engineering degree
