As the Resident Engineer you're first and foremost the extended arm of Delphi in the Customer organization, and you may be stationed at the Customer site for a significant amount of time. You're able to organize the needed technical clarifications and tests at the Customer site, and are responsible for maintaining a personal contact with the technical people in the Customer organization. You will also support the product development organization. You'll ensure that the project doesn't take on a life of its own, but rather goes in the direction desired by the Customer. You'll fill the gap between both organizations and use respective organizations' synergies to the benefit of the project.
The Resident Engineer works in close collaboration with the Delphi Systems Engineering team. The Systems Engineers must understand all the customer specification and requirements, and write and communicate internal requirements to the product development organization.
Dina arbetsuppgifter
• Manage technical communication and activities between Customer and Delphi
• Work with Project Management to achieve customer satisfaction
• Support product development of existing business
• Support product sales of future business
• Support product specific tests internally and at Customer, i.e. bench tests, integration tests, box car, prototype cars and trial runs
• Consolidate test results
• Create and manage action plans between Customer and Delphi
• Support and supervise Delivery, Start of Production, and Launch at Customer and Delphi
• Support prototype activities

QUALIFICATIONS
• BSc degree in engineering required
• 3+ years experience, preferably from the automotive industry
• Strong comprehension of embedded systems
• Experience from software, hardware, and power electronics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Swedish and English)
• Experience from the following key areas is meritorious
• Software test, verification, and validation
• Diagnostics
• Car bus systems i.e. CAN
• Troubleshooting on system and component level
• Tools like ETAS Inca, Vector Canalyzer/Canoe, Lauterbach
