hela Sverige We are looking for a new colleague to join us at Swerea KIMAB, one of Europe's leading corrosion and material research institutes, to create industrial benefit for our customers through applied research. Within corrosion and corrosion protection we have a competence which is unique. We are located in Kista, Stockholm with over 150 personnel.
Who we are looking for
You should have a university degree within material science, chemistry or engineering. Experience within cathodic protection is required, and qualifications from organisations such as NACE and ICorr etc. are advantageous. Experience in research and consulting work related to corrosion and metallic materials is meritorious. You should have an interest in and the ability to solve technical issues, easily network with contacts and enjoy working in a team. The job involves a lot of customer contact and therefore demands that you can express yourself clearly in both Swedish and English, both speaking and writing.
You will be working with a range of different research and development projects as well as carrying out shorter industrial consulting projects regarding corrosion and cathodic protection of metallic materials. Your work will include everything from project planning, experimental investigations, exposures of materials in various environments, evaluation and material characterisation and reporting. The will work closely with our industrial clients as well as other research entities, mainly in Sweden but also internationally.
Swerea KIMAB offers an attractive and diverse working environment with well-equipped laboratories in a modern office. Our research is carried out by approximately 40 colleagues in Kista as well as at our daughter company in France. Our work has many facets such as atmospheric corrosion, high temperature corrosion, corrosion in infrastructure and corrosion of polymeric materials.
