Are you passionate about Electrochemistry, especially lithium-ion batteries, and energy storage devices, and do you want to be part of RISE's journey as an innovation partner in the field of batteries Then apply for the position at RISE as a researcher in the area of batteries in the unit binders and additives?

About us
The Division of Materials and Surface Design within RISE is an innovation partner to small and large companies in wood, binders, cosmetics, smart materials, batteries and surface modification.

The focus of the department's units is on polymeric materials and binders, barriers, adhesives, durability, perception, composites, smart materials, cathode, anode and electrolytes for batteries and formulation to name a few, where circularity and durability are high on the agenda. In the field of binders and additives, the department focuses on formulation work in areas such as barriers, binders, batteries, and smart additives for a variety of industries. But modification of polymers and processing of side currents are also relevant. We work with product development and applied research on behalf of customers and in grant-funded research projects. Our technical focus areas are dispersal systems and emulsions, cross-linking techniques, functionalization of polymers and formulation of bio-based raw materials such as proteins, carbohydrates but also other materials.

About the role
To grow our business, we are now looking for a researcher with a research background in electrochemistry for implementation in smart materials and in batteries. The job is multifaceted, which means that you need to be flexible and able to work in many projects at the same time and at the same time deliver results in time. Good development opportunities exist over time. The position is a permanent position within the unit binder and additive with a probationary period of 6 months.
