We are now looking for candidates for consultant assignment to contribute with their experience in a multi-cultural European organization, ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control). ECDC is an EU agency, aimed at strengthening Europe's defenses against infectious diseases. The core functions cover a wide spectrum of activities i.e. surveillance, epidemic intelligence, scientific advice, preparedness and public health training to mention some. ECDC monitors 52 communicable diseases.
The assignments will be placed in Solna, Stockholm. The start will be as soon as possible and with duration to end of August 2018 with possible extensions.
The role
The role as junior expert is administrative will be in the Surveillance and Response Support Unit, with focus on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections.
Tasks
• Support the ARHAI (Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections) team;
• Contribute to the planning, implementation and conduct of data collection and analysis;
• Contribute to the dissemination of surveillance results in the area of ARHAI;
• Assist with monitoring and administration of ECDC projects related to surveillance, prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections.
Competences and experience
• Degree, or equivalent, in relevant natural science at university level. Preferably a medical academic background.
• Experience in public health and preferably knowledge of EU-system
• Experience in list below is qualifying/merit;
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English
• Experience from work in international public healthcare focused agencies is merit
