Job description:
Atlas Copco Secoroc is seeking two Research & Development Engineers for cemented carbide and diamond materials for rock drilling tools.

In this position, you will be an important part of the development of material grades and products for different rock and construction applications. We have a dedicated team with different backgrounds. Together with our team and the production units, you will manufacture, test and analyse tool materials. You need to be able to work systematically and carefully. Both the production processes and the uses are complex, so detective work is often necessary. Based on the results, you will propose and implement improvements. Some improvements will include development of methods and equipment. We work closely within our team, but we also have many cross-functional contacts within the company. Important as well, are the contacts you will have with suppliers, customers and universities. Our team is globally responsible for Hard Materials. Our products are also produced and used all over the world, therefore you will sometimes travel to factories and mines in other countries.

Requirements:

- Master's degree or PhD in Material Science, Chemistry or Physics; alternatively other specialities in combination with suitable experience.
- Very good logical and analytical skills.
- Curious and creative mind.
- Practical technical interest and ability.
- Preferably knowledge and experience within powder metallurgy.
- Preferably knowledge and experience of advanced instruments and equipment.
- Basic Swedish and good English, both in speaking and writing; other languages can be a plus.
