The work
As researcher in Hydro I&T you will mainly work with development and support on the die steels used in our tooling:
• Hot work steel and nitriding
• Advanced microstructure investigations of steel
• Failure mechanics and abrasion
• Interactions between steel and aluminium
Scanning electron microscope (SEM) investigations of steel and aluminium is an important aspect of the work. For the right applicant, responsibility for the SEM equipment will be part of the job.

Your profile
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's university degree, MSc or PhD, in metallurgy or similar experience in development work in steel. SEM skills and experience working with the areas mentioned above is a merit.
Personal Requirements
• You should be thorough, analytical and flexible.
• You should be able to work independently with your projects and take responsibility for the planning and the results of your work.
• It is also important that you are service minded and collaborate well with your colleagues and customers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Highly motivated to learn and develop whilst keeping up with new developments in the field.
