Do you want to make a significant impact on climate change and greenhouse gas emissions? Do you have an excellence track record for industrial - academic collaboration? Does the people in your network consider you as an expert within one or several engineering disciplines? Would you like to work in an interdisciplinary team for a company that is the sustainable leader in the ecosystem of transport and logistics?
Great, you should contact me immediately (see contact details below and don't waste your valuable time on an application, the right candidate has more important things to do than writing an application)!

The open positions are located in the pre-development organization of Department for Powertrain control system development, which is responsible for research and pre-development in the areas of Powertrain control strategy, Engine control software, Electric and Hybrid powertrain technology as well as system integration. The team is interdisciplinary and covers areas such as software, control, chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering. Our project portfolio includes project aiming to increase efficiency and decrease emissions of powertrains, detect degradation of components and systems as well as implementing simulation driven engineering within our development process.

Your duties
We are looking for a senior engineer with experience of system development who can drive research and pre-development tasks within our team. We are working together with several different departments within Scania and Volkswagen group and closely together with universities and other companies. You will be developing the technology that we will introduce in 5-15 years from now.

Your profile
We expect you will have at least an MSc in Engineering. A Ph.D. and/or expertise within electrification would be advantageous. You enjoy working at the forefront of engineering within an area of technology that is rapidly developing and therefore constantly changing.

You need to be the kind of person who finds it easy to manage and coordinate numerous contacts, as the job involves cooperation with other functions at Scania and external partners. You will be proficient in both written and spoken English, and knowledge of German would be an advantage as we cooperate a lot within the group.

However, the most important thing is that you have an interest in new technology and when the usual approaches to work fail, you can create new ones in order to proceed towards making Scania the leader within sustainable transport. We look forward to receiving your application!

We offer
In addition to career- and development opportunities, we also offer our employees other benefits such as an employee car, performance bonuses, occupational pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania Jobexpress.
