The "Decision Making and Vehicle Motion Control" team consists of an internal team supported by external collaboration. Its task is to develop and prepare the future automated vehicle motion control platform with incremental steps. The basic role of this platform is to:
• Depending on customer feature plan and execute motion control of the vehicle to achieve desired functionality e.g. vehicle platooning, on-road highly assisted vehicles, off-road automated vehicles (e.g. mines or construction sites), collision avoidance systems and other active safety systems.
• With input from the perception platform and on-board vehicle sensors understand and analyze these data vehicle state and traffic situation
• Depending on vehicle state and traffic scenario, take decisions & control the vehicle actuators(brake, steering, acceleration etc)
We are looking for several experienced research engineers to strengthen our "Integration, Decision Making and Vehicle Motion Control" team. We want to strengthen the team in the below three areas :

1/ Analysis and decision making
• Formalize the targeted customer features: e.g. vehicle platooning, vehicle auto positioning, active safety driving assistance
• Elaborate high level strategies and control logic to enable above targeted customer features
• Develop needed algorithms to plan, take decisions, inform or control the vehicle
• Main tasks:
• Propose, clarify and formalize customer applications for automation and active safety features
• Prepare all development work with a systems engineering approach
• Develop our decision platform and algorithms
• Implement algorithms in Simulink, Matlab and/or C
• Create and execute verification and validation plans (simulation and physical tests)
2/ Vehicle motion control
• Develop the vehicle motion control models and control systems
• Tasks:
• Develop vehicle motion control strategies and logic: e.g. lateral and longitudinal control of the vehicle
• Prepare all development work with a systems engineering approach
• Develop our motion control platform
• Implement & test algorithms in Simulink, Matlab and/or C
• Create and execute verification and validation plans (simulation and physical tests)
3/ System integration and testing
• Development of tools chain and methods (virtual and physical) for verification and validation
• Integration, debugging and test of complete SW&HW systems
• Implement and test in virtual simulation environments and in test vehicles
• Verification and validation of complete systems

The Decision Making and Vehicle Motion Control team is of key importance for our development of active safety and vehicle automation functionalities, it will be used in several different application projects (Active Safety and Vehicle Automation).
