hela Sverige The Surface Chemistry Global Research and Development section drives long term R&D projects and applied research in the form of technology platforms. Our projects are prioritized by the business unit managing team and we are represented at three locations - for Americas in Bridgewater and for EMEIA in Deventer, the Netherlands and Stenungsund, Sweden.
We now have an immediate opening for a Research Chemist to cover up for parental leave within our EMEIA team based in Stenungsund.
Main responsibilities
• Design, perform and evaluate experiments, trials etc, connected to assigned GRD projects.
• Report and conclude on results and recommend the forward project path based on experimental data and other results.
• Perform literature studies, including patent searches, and other knowledge gathering activities connected to assigned areas and projects.
• Recommend on and develop experimental techniques and other methods to be used within assigned area of responsibility.
• Contribute to a safe and efficient workplace by active participation in our Behavior Based Safety and 5S programs.
• Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field or M.Sc in Chemistry or a related field with at least five years' relevant experience
• Preferably a material or surface science background
• Good skills regarding practical lab work and usage of relevant equipment.
• Proactive and enjoy working practically towards continuous improvements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Varaktighet, arbetstid
This is a replacement for an parental leave to the end of December 2017, reporting to the Global R&D EMEIA Manager and based in Stenungsund.
