hela Sverige We have an opening for a permanent position within the Technical Service and Product Development (TS&d) team, based in Stenungsund.
The AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry Agro Applications Group operates globally and provides its customers with specialty polymers, surfactants, solvents and formulated solutions to enhance the performance of their products. The Agro team does not provide agricultural actives but provides a variety of additives to formulators to improve properties such as adjuvancy, wetting, emulsification and dispersancy. The successful candidate will join the Agro Applications group in supporting the needs of its customers. This includes the in-house formulation and application testing of products to provide technical solutions to customers in the Agro market.
The position is also responsible for the initiation, design and execution of incremental development projects addressing both customer and market needs. The position is laboratory based but the applicant will be a focal point for specific customers and will support Sales and Marketing in visiting those customers and identifying their needs. The applicant will also represent AkzoNobel at technical forums and conferences, presenting papers and posters as appropriate.
Design, execute and evaluate experiments
Report results and give technical recommendations internally and externally
Making presentations at customers and conferences
Technical responsibility for assigned customers in collaboration with our Marketing and Sales team
PhD. in Surface Chemistry
Strong knowledge in structure/property relations of surfactants/polymers
Expertise in organic chemistry is desirable
Experience in the development and formulation of agrochemical products is desirable
Strong communication skills in English, verbal and written
As this is a global organization, it is important that you can work independently as well as within a group, you are self-driven and a have willingness to get things done. There is a strong preference for a practical person who is hands-on in the laboratory and who possesses good interpersonal skills, enabling them to interact with sales staff and customers. Strong work ethic and proficient in experimental design methods are required.
