The job entails involvement in all stages, from initial phases to industrialization and the introduction of new cars to the market. A crucial responsibility is to develop a hardware and software platform for electronics that supports various features and functions, ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience for customers. The teams mentioned are in charge of ensuring quality, coordinating the release of hardware and software. These releases play a crucial role in the Software & Electronic platform, as they bring important software functionality to both system service and customer function levels. The team works together with various stakeholders and dependencies to ensure accurate planning and high quality.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with developing teams and Product Owners to ensure delivery and quality of the Hardware and Software Platform
• Manage different software configurations and ensure completeness and correctness of team's deliveries
• Administer part documentation and financial forecast systems
• Coordinate documentation of deviations
• Understand software content, intent, and Volvo Cars software development process, tools, and procedures
• Familiarity with software build chain and automated test/continuous integration flow
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
• B.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or similar area of education
• Experience with multiple stakeholders
• Experience in product documentation
• Project management skills
• Automotive software design and development experience
• System engineering knowledge
• Software configuration management with Git, including branching strategy
• Embedded software testing proficiency
• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Autosar expertise
• Background in ECU base tech
• In-vehicle communication understanding
• Knowledge of ISO 26262
• Excellent communication skills in English
• M.Sc. is extra meritorious
