Position Description General:
Global Laws & Regulations is part of the Strategy, Architecture and Systems function within Technology and it is the corporate competence center for product related regulatory requirements and compliance. The department has the responsibility to globally monitor, influence and communicate the development of legal, regulatory and standardization framework requirements that current and future construction equipment needs to comply with. The global role also includes the responsibility to provide overall guidance, interpretation and training on regulatory requirements and standards as well as their individual development to all internal stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:
In this role we are looking for a person who will be an influencer and have the drive, persistent and genuine interest in leading this role towards the future and to contribute to Volvos world leading position within its field.

Furthermore you will conduct global intelligence on regulatory requirements and standards in the domains of safety. Actively influence the development of relevant regulatory requirements and standards through participation in national and international networks.

You need to communicate interpretations of guidance on applicable regulatory requirements and standards to relevant stakeholders through common networks. Develop, tailor, and conduct legal and regulatory compliance trainings. Manage creation and maintenance of technical internal documentation as required by regulatory and legal authorities in the various target markets.

Requirements:
You hold a B.Sc. or higher academic degree in Engineering or Business Administration with a clear focus on Regulatory Compliance and Standardization. It is desirable if you have the experience in functional safety, sound knowledge of Safety of machinery - general principles for design - risk assessment and risk reduction standards, EN ISO 12100

We would like you to have a great ability to understand and drive product compliance matters, and an interest in development and application of standards and regulations. Also you have the ability to learn from the experience of others. You have a self-motivated, proactive approach and you like the challenge of working in a multifunctional, high pressure role. As a person you have good communication and social skills and also a strong personal integrity and credibility. You like being a part of a global business, and travel globally. You are also fluent in English and Swedish written and spoken alike.
