About the position
This role is about Managing the Technical Service organization based in Scandinavia and the target is to drive growth on service revenue and margins and at the same time providing first class technical service support towards regional and global customers, distributors and service partners.

Reporting into the European Aftermarket Director, the Regional Service Manager will interface primarily with the ESAB Nordic sales team, our production facilities and installation projects managers as well as the other service and aftermarket teams within the ESAB Group.

In this role you will work closely with a team of qualified service engineers and you will be responsible for the total result of the unit and for exceeding customer' expectations for technical service.

You bring an attitude of achievement to the organization and you are both capable of delegating responsibility and working next to your service engineers when the situation requires. The work requires the ability to quickly adapt to new situations and the ability to motivate yourself and your team to cope with sudden changes.

You will be working in direct contact with a broad set of customers as well as people from a number of different parts of the ESAB organization. The position is highly visible within ESAB as aftermarket services is one of the key components to customer satisfaction and profitability in ESAB's business model.

Qualifications
• Graduate Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineer, preferably with MBA qualification
• At least 3 years' experience in managing Technical Service and after-sales teams in Industrial Companies where complex project management is required, preferably in the welding or cutting automation industry.
• Self-motivated and with leadership attitude.
• Excellent in working in team in multi-cultural, cross-functional organization
• Fluent in English and Swedish. Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Russian or Baltic state language knowledge is a merit but not a must

• Self-motivated and able to set the right priorities, make decisions and resolve customer issues on time
• Good leadership attitude and the ability to build teams that deliver in challenging circumstances.
• Strong drive to improve and to please customers
• Excellent communication and networking skills
• Ability to work with multi-cultural, cross functional organizations.
• Technical mind-set
• Ready to travel in the Nordic region and occasionally in Europe or Worldwide. Estimated to be needed to travel up to 40% of the working time, occasionally with short notice.
• Prepared to back up own team and take over their duties when needed
• Fairness to employees and ability to adapt and re-plan when the situation requires
