Regional Logistic Manager - Market Area Europe

Customer Service is a unit within Volvo Car Corporation, responsible for the global aftermarket business, development and distribution of genuine parts, service- and repair methods and accessories. Our ambition is to be the most desired provider of parts, accessories and service to our Volvo dealers and customers and thereby contribute to creating the most exciting car experience for the customer. The head office is located in Gothenburg. The logistics function is part of Customer Service and is responsible for the procurement, storage and distribution of spare parts and accessories to Volvo Cars customers throughout the world. This includes operational control of all Volvo-owned parts inventory, warehouse management and transportation, as well as the long-term development of the global logistics process. The business is built around a central warehouse in Gothenburg and China, as well as a number of supporting warehouses around the world.

As Regional Logistic Manager you will have the responsibility to be the contact person for logistic KPI's (cost, availability, lead time etc.) for the National Sales Companies including responsibility for communicating the KPI's and taking corrective action if needed. In addition, give input on market demands on logistics development activities for Customer Service Business plan.

Main responsibilities

• Set and follow up of KPI for the warehouse and transport operations in the region. If deviations initiate and follow up corrective actions.
• Responsible for following up and controlling the logistic operational cost (warehouse & transport) including giving input to budget and forecast
• Strive for finding continuous improvement in the supply chain
• Ensure that communication, coordination and processes are followed and developed between National Sales Companies, external DC's (XDC), importers and Parts Supply and Logistics.
• Ensure that Customer Service perform the agreed KPI's and support according to Logistic Operational Agreement with markets in the region
• Acting as a project leader and sub project leader in different projects within the area or region
• Initiate development activities including logistic studies inside the region

Required qualifications

• Masters degree within engineering or economics with logistics specialisation or likewise experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Solid experience from leading projects
• Willingness to travel within Europe, approximately 2-4 days per month
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Proven leadership skills
• Drivers license
• Experience from automotive aftermarket logistics is meritorious
• Experience from working at a 3PL is meritorious
• Experience from commercial negotiations and legal knowledge is meritorious
