Volvo Penta is looking for a Regional Application Engineer for Industrial engines at Market Unit Nordic. The industrial segment at Volvo Penta offers diesel engines to a broad variety of applications, such as material handling, forestry, mining and gensets. The segment has grown steadily in the resent years, mainly with new customers and applications for our Stage IV engine range.
At Market Unit Nordic we support some of Volvo Penta's key industrial OEMs. As Regional Application Engineer your main responsibility is to provide our larger OEM customers with an efficient technical sales- and installation engineering support. We are looking for a customer oriented person with strong commitment and engagement to support our OEM and further develop the business with them.
The position is based in Gothenburg, involves frequent travelling within Sweden and occasional travels abroad. You report to the sales manager for Nordic-, Baltic- and Benelux.
Job Summary
• Discuss and document design requirements with OEM engineering
• Develop a product configuration together with OEM engineering
• Support sales with technical input required to negotiate commercial solutions
• Support the OEMs design and prototype work with technical documentation, advice and function tests
• Follow-up on that OEM engineering take corrective actions on your design remarks and test reports
• Summarise Product Application Agreement (PAA) for decision
• Follow-up that OEM production engineering implements the product in production according the PAA
• Interact with OEM production and quality engineers operationally and initiate internal 8D-process
• Co-operate with internal functions that support the OEM business (e.g. Sales, Market Support, Dealer Business Mgmt, Business Support, Product Planning, Sales Engineering Industrial, Field Test Dept.)

Qualifications
• Relevant technical education - university degree is a merit
• Relevant work experience, e.g. design or testing of heavy duty machinery or driveline components
• Support- and team oriented personality with integrity and good communication skills
• Fluent in Swedish and English is a prerequisite, additional language an advantage.
