hela Sverige One of our colleagues is going on parental leave and therefore we need a temporary replacement for one year.
The RD&I laboratory group is part of the RD&I+Technology department and consists of a team of highly motivated lab technicians and chemists who work on process and product development including scale-up trials in our pilot plant, perform catalyst testing for the current production process and support other functions in the business e.g. by assisting the Technical Service department with our chemical know-how. To achieve our goals we even cooperate with external research organization to ensure the availability of specialized equipment and expertise.
Key objectives for the position
• Initiate and drive RD&I projects leading to new processes and products
• Design and perform (complex) experimental work
• Manage and drive own RD&I projects
• Provide specialist support e.g. to M+S, QTS, Production and BI
Responsibilities
• Generate ideas, initiate and lead research projects
• Participate as specialist in projects (e.g. as part of the reference network)
• Design, perform, evaluate and report experiments
• Actively contribute to maintaining and upgrade the equipment and methods used by the RD&I Lab. Also including HSE
• Initiate and maintain cooperation with contract research organizations (both AN and external)
• Monitor competitor patents in area of EA Chemistry and perform targeted patent and literature surveys and report findings at the department?s IP meetings
• Cooperate and communicate closely with the RD&I laboratory manager
• Provide support to M+S, QTS , production and BI functions
Qualifications
• PhD in chemistry or M.Sc. and more than 5 years of work experience
• Experience in preparatory laboratory techniques including modern analysis methods, e.g. GC, LC, MS and NMR
• Experience in Project Management
• Experience in working with pilot plant
On personal level it is important that you can work independently as well as within a group, you are self-driven, solution-orientet and service minded. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken and you have excellent communicative skills.

The positions are a temporary position until 2016 09 30 on a full time basis, reporting to the RD&I Laboratory Manager.
