AkzoNobel Speciality Chemicals is looking for a Buyer to our national purchasing organization. In this position you will manage defined materials and services within the area of Purchasing according to the business guidelines and policies as to deliver maximized total cost of ownership savings. You will also co-ordinate purchasing activities and networks across the business.
Main responsibilities:
• Ensure competitive sourcing of materials and services within required service level.
• Negotiate and make contracts within assigned product groups to assure best cost structure with secure supply.
• Execute buying of material and services.
• Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of company requirements for the assigned product groups and sites through regular communication with the factories and the appropriate departments.
• Execute market surveys and identify the optimal supply base for assigned product groups.
• Technical or Business University degree.
• Solid experience achieved in the area of purchasing (minimum 5 years).
• Project management experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English as well as Swedish.
• To be successful in this position we believe that you have a high social competence and ability to build long term relationships. You enjoy working independently according to business processes.
