Responsibilities:
• To support Radio network planning & Optimization projects of GSM / UMTS / WiMAX / LTE.
• To provide: Radio Coverage & Capacity Dimensioning, RF planning and Optimization, E2E optimization (KPIs), performance monitoring, Site engineering, Network audit, etc.
• To Support performance KPI negotiating with operators before or during project implementation.
• To take part in the Preliminary or final radio performance acceptance procedure.
• To communicate with the high level customer, Project Manager, RF Manager, CTO, etc.
• To write guidelines for radio network planning & optimization projects.
• Assist PM with RF team organization setup, resource planning and tasks allocation
• To setup RF work processes and supervise project RF part, ensure the network performance complies with contract.
• Proficient knowledge of MapInfo software.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor degree or above majoring in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or related area;
• At least 1 years of RF planning & optimization engineering experience;
• Good understanding of antenna theory (aperture, gain, beam width, dipole vs. isotropic), antenna performance (return loss, impedance matching, etc.), and engineering tools (spectrum analyzer, site master, etc.).
• Familiar/excellent in the fundamentals of GSM, UMTS, WiMAX or LTE systems;
• Familiar with / excellent in multi vendors’ wireless equipment operation and wireless network optimization;
• Familiar with Technical Management and Project Management;
• Tools experience for: RF planning, propagation models, RF optimization, protocol analysis, etc;
• Good communication skills and learning capability, ability to cooperate and work with peoples from different cultures in a fast-paced changing environment;
• Fluency in English; Driving license owner and willing to travel with short notice including going abroad
Organization:
This position is based in Sofia, Bulgaria. As a Radio Network Planning & Optimization Engineer you will work within the CEE&Nordic regional organization and report to the project manager/Regional Core Network manager. The CEE&Nordic regional organization is managed and controlled from Poland.
