Radar Analysis Engineer

The section Active Safety Sensor and System A&V is responsible for verification of all sensors and system used for customer functions related with the IntelliSafe innovations. IntelliSafe includes functionalities such as Full auto brake with pedestrian detection, Adaptive cruise control and Pilot assist etc. The section also plays a vital role in the work towards fully autonomous driving vehicles in the Drive Me project. The ever growing number of sensors and system complexity in the vehicle put higher demands of a comprehensive and efficient verification process.

We are looking for an Automotive Radar Analysis Engineer to strengthen our team to work with existing modules and with assignments in upcoming car platforms. You will develop and implement verification and analysis methods for the radar systems used in existing and new cars. You are also expected to cooperate with other team members in current and future research projects to develop fast and accurate radar systems verification and analysis tools.

Main responsibilities

• Perform signal analysis in order to understand and validate the performance of current and future automotive radar systems
• Support the design of new automotive radar system verification tools
• Support performance-oriented planning of data collection
• Plan and drive for decisions regarding changes in the hardware and software for radar verification and analysis
• Support investigations and Advanced Engineering activities related to the radar systems analysis and verification
• Report and establish technical solutions in order to solve the assigned problems
• Write test plans as well as test reports for radar measurement

Required qualifications

• M.Sc. degree within Electrical Engineering/ Physics
• PhD degree in radar signal processing or 5 years of experience in radar systems design, integration and test is meritorious
• Deep knowledge and understanding of radar systems and radar signal processing
• Experience in development, verification, and analysis of radar systems
• Experience within microwaves measurements equipment
• Strong background in mathematics, estimation techniques, digital signal processing and specification of subsystem requirements
• Experience in Matlab programming
• Automotive experience is meritorious
• Experience in all program phases from pre-program through launch is meritorious
• Experience with driver assistance systems or environment perception will be an asset
• Swedish valid driving license
