For Smart Power Division, located in Alingsås, we are looking for a R&D Team Manager who will drive and foster a culture of innovation while planning and managing R&D activities and resources. You will be in charge of R&D Engineers in order to meet the requirements of product development projects as well as ensuring the maintenance of existing product portfolio.

The position is reporting to R&D Competence Center Manager.
Your responsibilities
Working on competence management and people development - ensuring team has the right mix of competencies to deliver the portfolio responsible for
Providing people management with coaching and performance feedback to all team members
Overseeing and assisting with transfer of technology and knowledge between internal partners
Planning and ensuring an optimal project portfolio for the team, resourcing R&D projects, and overseeing efficient project execution
Serving as a technical resource for internal and external contacts
Recommending, developing, and improving processes and procedures to enhance local operations
Applying appropriate development and quality standards, and monitoring local product quality and change requests to identify issues
Partnering with local Manufacturing Unit management to ensure appropriate representation of needs within R&D projects
Your background
Bachelor/Master's Degree in a technical field
6+ years of experience in R&D
Technical expertise in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
Knowledge of 3D modelling tools
Experience in R&D processes and project management
Proactivity, good people and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills and proficiency (spoken and written) English
