At Manufacturing Engineering, you are a part of a global production team that makes sure that the cars we build meet the highest expectations from our customers. In close collaboration with colleagues in other business units, we develop and implement flexible and efficient production systems with people in focus. Manufacturing Engineering Quality is one of the departments within Volvo Cars Manufacturing Engineering (VCME), working within VCME to strengthen the quality tools and methods. We are 6 engineers in the Quality team divided in two groups. VCME Quality focus to deliver flawless launch to the manufacturing plants. In VCME Quality is always on the agenda and so from recently part of the Management team.

What you'll do

Within the group Manufacturing Engineering Quality we are now looking for a Quality Engineer. The role has a challenging target to continuously improve the quality tools and methods within VCME in close cooperation with Product and Quality. You will be part of developing existing tools and methods and also educate and support employees within VCME in the quality systems. You will also be responsible for the internal and external Audits within VCME. You will work in close cooperation with Product and Quality and Manufacturing and Logistics teams. To conclude you will prepare for upcoming audits as well as drive for improvements in areas where there are room for improvements.

You and your skills

You are experienced within Failure Mode Avoidance and Six Sigma. You have experience from working within Manufacturing and/or Product Development. Preferably, you have a Black Belt certification and have a passion for educating others by coaching approach and classroom training. Lastly you have a B.Sc. / M.Sc. degree in engineering - Mechanical or Industrial or equivalent. English in spoken and written is required.

Meritorious

Knowledge in system audits is a merit.

In order to achieve the above you are open, creative, positive and have the ability to listen to others. In order to fully enjoy the job you are target oriented, you see opportunities rather than difficulties and you have good analytical abilities. Lastly you have a great ability to organize and prioritize your own work task and you enjoy working in a cross-functional and multi-cultural team.
