Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Service Distribution Center in Örebro is responsible for distribution of spare parts worldwide for SED, URE and ADS divisions. The mission of the MRS Distribution Center (DC) is to be a global logistic provider, managing and developing a high qualitative and cost efficient supply chain for our customers.

Right now we are looking for a Quality Engineer for a new position in DC Örebro.

The mission of the Quality Engineer is:
• Coordinate and lead internal Quality fora's and secure the quality in our processes
• Drive root cause analysis with regards to quality issues
• Collect and analyze data regarding quality deviations, propose solutions, initiate and monitor implementation
• Proactively propose and work with quality improvement initiatives/projects
• Increase awareness within MRS regarding Quality and decisions impacting quality
• DC main interface towards engineering in MRS and other divisions
• Close cooperation with Packaging Engineer & Logistic Development
• Main responsible for Quality area in SHEQ
• Collaborate within other Distribution Centers and customer centers globally to learn and share best practices attempting all the time to set and improve aligned standards and processes
• Prepare material and perform internal training in the quality area
• Process responsible for:
o Inbound Quality
o Internal Quality
o Outbound Quality

You will be an important member in the new SHEQ team that supports a culture of "can-do" and driving business performance through Supply Chain together with your colleagues within the Mining and Rock Excavation Service Division (MRS) organization. We will continuously develop the MRS Supply Chain to be a state of the art global logistic provider, developing a high performing, qualitative and cost efficient Supply Chain.

Position objective
The Quality engineer controls the quality performance and process development, qualification, and implementation for all internal processes within the MRS DC Örebro and beyond as required. The responsibility includes Customer quality, Warehouse quality and Supplier quality. Works with engineering to develop quality routines and processes that conform to optimal handling with total cost in mind. Develops quality specifications and ensures compliance to existing and new requirements.

Knowledge and personality
You have a team leader profile with potential to grow into Logistic developer, Flow Leader and above. You have a high knowledge of Quality Engineering and understands how this function impacts on business results and how it is a competitive edge for the company. You are a creative thinker to help use standard and defined processes and also having the ability to develop new concepts where required.

To ensure that you enjoy the work you need to have a structured approach and a willingness to take full responsibility. The organization set up and the role requires that you enjoy to work independently and also being a team player in a result oriented way.

You have a genuine interest in quality and logistics. You have good analytical skills, you are curious and looking to get things done on schedule. The contacts within and outside the department and the company will be many and you need to be able to display effective communications in all interactions (internal and external).

You are PC literate: Good knowledge of excel, PowerPoint, word and standard quality tools.

Educational and experience
• University degree in Quality Engineering or other related Engineering discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality preferably in heavy industrial distribution environment
• Knowledge and/or experience with Supply Chain ERP systems preferably in a distribution environment
• General knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles
• Experience with MS Office applications required with special attention to project management
• You speak and write fluently in both Swedish and English

Mining and Rock Excavation Service is a division within Atlas Copco's Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area. It provides a complete range of services with the aim of maximizing customers' productivity. The division focuses on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training. It has distribution centers in China, Sweden and the United States, and is based in Sweden.
