• Develop and utilize SQC and SPC in order to improve the quality control.
• Lead and participate in root cause and failure analysis investigations associated with production issues, analytical issues, customer complaint investigations or manufacturing errors.
• Oversee, write, edit and approve quality investigations conducted as a result of manufacturing errors and/or customer complaints
• Lead and participate in development projects related to quality issues.
• Maintain and audit quality management systems for deficiency identification and improvements.
• Assist with training and help with continuous improvement projects across the plant. Continuous improvement is a major key responsibility for this role.
• Handle specifications, inventories etc in the SAP-system, and act as a back up for the sister refinery.
• As a backup resource for QC, conduct routine and non-routine analysis. Prepare quality reports, audit test results and analytical techniques.
• May act as deputy to the QC Manager or Lab Supervisor in their absence.
Requirements
• Possess an accredited Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or other relevant field of study
• Six Sigma Green-belt certification is preferred
• At least 3 years of work experience in a QC Laboratory
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish
• Proficient in the use of a personal computer e.g., SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, statistical applications, e-mail and other business related systems
• Knowledge of ISO standards, 9001 and 14001, and quality management systems that apply to manufacturing operations
• Comfortable functioning in a variety of roles ranging from plant floor troubleshooting, problem solving and incident investigations to leading improvement projects
• Proven analytical skills and ability to accomplish goals and objectives by identifying complex problems and organizing teams to explore and resolve problems
We are currently looking for a Quality Chemist for our client. The Quality Chemist will report to the Quality Manager and is overall responsible for improving the quality control.
