Volvo Car Engine has the global responsibility for engine manufacturing at Volvo Car Group. If you want to reach your personal goals together with other dedicated people, Volvo Car Engine is the place for you to prosper. The Manufacturing Engineering department manages the global development and implementation of manufacturing processes at Volvo Car Engine plants in different locations. We develop the manufacturing solutions for future products in cross-functional collaboration with Research & Development and Purchasing.
The Manufacturing Research and Concepts department is managing the technical aspects of annual, research, advanced engineering and pre-program activities within Manufacturing Engineering. The Concept Development group is responsible for development of new manufacturing technologies and concepts, including initial assurance of product and process compatibility for new product technologies and concepts.
We are now looking for a new colleague for the position Quality Assurance Concept Development Engineer, who will be located in Skövde location in Sweden. The role involves global responsivities, hence to locations of our engine plants in China, Belgium and USA.
Main responsibilities
* Lead and support quality assurance of new technologies and concepts for manufacturing of propulsion systems
* Initial quality assurance of product and process compatibility
* Lead and support Advanced Engineering projects
* Represent Manufacturing Engineering in establishing the Process for Forward Model Quality.
* Define quality assurance requirements, methods and technical input to project declaration
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
* Extensive experience from automotive production and manufacturing engineering
* Good technical knowledge in engine design and manufacturing, preferably in engine verification and testing
* Project management skills
* Good knowledge in FMEA and Team Center
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken, Swedish is beneficial
* Driving license "B"

Your technical interest, especially in automotive industry, and willingness to share and implement your knowledge is especially appreciated. You need to enjoy working in international environment and collaborating on global level.
