As purchasing manager, you are responsible for buying quality equipment, goods and services at the most competitive prices. Through your effective negotiation skills, networking and dealing with numbers, you help the company to grow and promote sustainable development. You are directly involved in the buying of components & products sold by the company, goods and services for use by the company, marketing and advertising services to promote the company.

Responsibilities
As a purchasing manager, you will:
• conduct research to confirm the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
• communicate between suppliers, manufacturers and customers
• build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
• negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
• process payments and invoices
• keep contract files and use them as reference for the future
• develop strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met - or exceeded
• undertake value for money reviews of existing contracts and arrangements
• forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
• keep a constant check on stock levels
• give presentations about market analysis and possible growth
• develop a purchasing strategy
• produce reports and statistics on spending and saving
• evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors
• ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives
• attend meetings and trade conferences
• train and supervise the work of other members of staff.

Qualifications:

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English (and Chinese)
• Experience and knowledge of business negotiations
• Experience and knowledge of purchasing and supply
• Relevant graduate or post-graduate exam as business administration or management
• Knowledge of oversees shipment and preferably experience in the field
• Effective search skills

Our headquarter is located in Stockholm, Sweden. As purchasing manager you may follow the CEO on business trips.

Varaktighet, arbetstid
The position requires travel to China mainland, Hong Kong, Vietnam and the Middle East.
