We currently have the following job opening;
Purchasing Manager - Business process and integration
As a Purchasing Process Development Manager, you will be responsible to foster and develop the Purchasing Processes and Systems for the whole Purchasing department (Direct Material, Indirect Material, and Program Purchasing) which is located in Gothenburg and with close co-operation with the team in Hangzhou China.
The process development will be done in close cooperation with the CEVT central process development team and in context to NPDS (New Product Development Process).
Work is of a challenging nature involving a considerable amount of perception, initiative and a high level of independent judgment.
Interaction with other department's is a key to be successful in this role and a close collaboration with the Purchasing mgmt. team is required, work will also include a close co-operation with the respective departments when it comes to process and system development and implementation. In this role you will report to the Sr. Vice President Purchasing located in Sweden, CEVT.
Autonomous Drive, Connectivity, electrification etc. requires that Purchasing develop new processes supporting R&D and innovation - how will we source and interact with future suppliers?
Responsibilities and tasks
• Responsible to develop and implement effective and lean processes and systems for the Purchasing department, in connection to CEVT NPDS (New Product Development Process).
• Represent the Purchasing department in company cross-functional initiatives (internal / external).
• Support in internal and / or external audits
• Work and collaborate with effective relationship with the key stakeholders to achieve lean processes and systems.
• Develop training and communication material (both at CEVT and China (when required))
• Coach and train the organization in new / revised processes.
• Support and drive resolution of process related issues.
• Updating of CEVT management system with process description.
• Support Purchasing Management team with special assignments.
• Business analyst for purchasing department.
• Support in BSR process (Business Service Request)
Profile and Background
• Min. 5 years purchasing experience from the automotive industry.
• Min. 5 years' experience of process development in purchasing department.
• Experience in SAP purchasing modules is an advantage.
• University degree in business, engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective team priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and sense of business.
• Strong work ethics and high integrity.
• High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
• High level of self-initiative and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English. Chinese is a plus.
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture Analytical Skills.
• Good overall administration skills are needed including good knowledge in excel and power point.
• International experience is required - weight on China.
