Scania Global Purchasing plays a vital role in making sure the right suppliers are chosen and we would like you to be part of this journey!
Scania Global Purchasing is responsible for all products and services supplied to all units worldwide, both industrial and commercial system. Purchasing Buses & Coaches is a team consisting of 19 people located in Poland, Finland and Sweden. We purchase parts for Bus Body production in Lahti (Finland) and Slupsk (Poland).
We are now seeking 3 different types of Purchasers to strengthen our team. The jobs are located in Södertälje, Sweden.
Job descriptions
Prototype Purchaser
The Prototype Purchaser is accountable for the purchase and delivery of prototypes for prototype build at Scania R&D. Submit Requests for Quotation (RFQ) , negotiate price and lead time, place order and secure delivery on time.
Project Purchaser
The Project Purchaser is accountable for Purchasing's deliverables to the Product Development (PD) projects. The Project Purchaser plan and perform sourcing activities in order to achieve project targets with regards to Technology, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Sustainability. The Project Purchaser will propose supplier to the Sourcing Board based on negotiated terms.
Commodity Purchaser
The Commodity Purchaser is accountable for performance and commercial results for one or several segments including the suppliers within those segments. The Commodity Purchaser manages the parts in series and executes engineering changes. Focus on challenging spend and driving cost down. Secures supplier capacity to meet the long term production plan.
Your profile
We are looking for candidates who wants to be part of a journey. People who can work in an environment currently undergoing changes associated to the way we work and organise ourselves. Not only on Purchasing level, but also on company level. You want to be part of building something new.
As a person you like to work and see things to an end. You have the ability to establish, sustain and use a network of people within your function but also cross functional. You contribute to the team performance through an active sharing of experience and practice. Striking the right commercial deal motivates you.
Your presentation and communication skills written and oral must be of excellent, both Swedish and English. Knowledge in Finnish language is of interest. You probably have an academic degree e.g. B.Sc, M.Sc in engineering or similar. Prior Purchasing work experience is important in the selection process however not a prerequisite.
