Scania's Purchasing is responsible for the purchase of products and services to all of Scania units worldwide and to other brands within the Volkswagen Truck & Bus. The global purchasing responsibility is centralized in Södertälje. The project purchasing team for Connected & Autonomous Systems is looking for a new college to join our team for one of our most exciting and interesting periods to come. The role will handle new parts and components within sensors, ECU:s and software.

Connected & Autonomous Systems is a strong growth area with a strategic importance to the company. Many of the future Scania strategies demands a very high level of advanced electronics and we can now offer you a chance to participate in the exciting journey of developing Scania's electronics purchasing towards Scania's overall vision to become a Solution Provider.

Main tasks
As a Project Purchaser you are accountable for Purchasing's deliverables to the Product Development projects. The Project Purchaser plan and perform sourcing activities in order to achieve project targets with regards to Technology, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Sustainability. The Project Purchaser will propose supplier to the Sourcing Board based on negotiated terms and then join the project with the suppliers until the implementation is done. This gives a big variety of challenges and tasks to make sure that we can support our internal customers as well as handling the commercial set up with our suppliers.
You will be working closely together with the supplier and R&D, but also with many other internal functions, to reach common goals in global projects. The position includes both coordinating different internal functions and driving the project forward.
There is a high focus on problem solving combined with commercial activities. You will be the link between the technical and the commercial targets within Scania.

Your profile
You are probably proactive, structured, organized, flexible, take own initiatives, are able to handle multiple open cases and have a strong commercial interest and love to do business and negotiate.
Experience in business to business such as purchasing or similar, management or project management, would be an advantage in your application. Technical knowledge about electronic components and software is of course a merit but not a requirement.
Your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels, both internally and cross-functionally, it is important that you have the ability to collaborate and build trust and are clear in your communication with others. You should have high integrity with a good judgment and can adapt to work according to Scania leadership principles. You probably understand Swedish and speak and write fluent in English.
