In your role as project manager, you will be responsible for managing projects in an Agile software development environment, reporting to the Chief Technical Officer of Lavasoft. You will lead a self-organizing and cross-functional team, ensuring that the team meets its commitments in every sprint. We expect you to work closely with the members of the team as well as to continously drive improvement of the software development process to increase development velocity. Part of your job will be to work with the Project Stakeholders (Product Owner) to prioritize the product backlog and suggest new features to be added into it. In addition, you will be working remotely with an outsourced development team and travel when necessary to meet with them.
Essential skills:
Proven track record of successful project implementations in an Agile software development environment (Scrum, Lean software development)
Practical experience in implementing agile practices (Iterative Development, Test Driven Development, Code Reviews, Retrospectives)
Experience in requirements elaboration and documentation (including User Stories, Use Cases, UML diagrams)
Good technical knowledge and practical experience in putting it to use (designing, programming, testing)
Analytical and strategic thinking
Organizational, team management and leadership skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in English
Desirable
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
Record of attended Agile conferences and/or trainings
Scrum Master certification
