These activities are carried out in the form of projects which are a mix between longer-term fundamental research programs and shorter industrial research contracts. YKI has an ambitious research program and sees the need to further strengthen its expertise in these strategic research areas during 2008.
As a project manager at YKI your role will be to initiate, market and manage research projects in close cooperation with industry as well as universities and other research institutes. Another key activity is to develop the knowledge base within your own research area at YKI and promote applications to industry.
Project Manager Formulation
As a formulation project manager you will be part of a team working on research projects in collaboration with industry and academia in the area of liquid formulation, i.e. emulsions, surfactant solutions, dispersions and foams. The focus will be on industrial formulations as well as for household and personal care. Your responsibilities will be to initiate and manage projects in this expanding research area.
We are seeking to recruit a scientist with a PhD in physical and/or colloidal chemistry and an interest in working on industrial related research. Prior industrial experience is an advantage.

As a project manager at YKI personal skills are important for developing and maintaining relationships with customers and other partners. Furthermore, you should be business oriented, structured and an innovative team player. Successful candidates will receive appropriate training in project management.
