Total Vehicle Geometry & Quality Assurance (TVG&QA) assures the Define, Prepare, Implement and Maintain phases of industrial systems and production-effective products, meeting FTT and the end customer final demands verified prior to production start maintained and improved (Kaizen) over time.
TVG&QA is responsible to ensure the VCME & Plants Quality and Geometry capability to deliver and maintain robust, precise and feasible concepts, systems, functions, components and Launch processes.
Total Vehicle Geometry section is responsible for all functional and aesthetic final demand of the product are met at the J1 +90 (FSR), by leading and implementing Annual Work, Trim Part Coordination (TPC) and Part Coordination Fixture (PCF) processes in GPDS . The Section is also responsible for quality assurance process geometry requirements into product solutions and equipment for production.
Project Manager (DPL2)
Main Tasks:
Drives the assignment from Annual to FSR according to plan and according to decided assignment structure
Plans all activities for manufacturing including preparation and follow-up of relevant time schedules
Develops and assures Facilities, Tooling and Equipment (FT&E) for the program until Program Approval (PA) in accordance with business and program targets, and after PA assures compliance for FT&E budget items
Anchors the assignment's decision, development, and status with responsible line managers
Reports the assignment's status and forecast to DPL1 Manufacturing and TPC -Geometry meeting
Secures that Research & Development (R&D) solutions are in line with VCM's prerequisites
Secures product and process compatibility for the program, including the implementation of established process strategies for Car Assembly plants
Leads and is responsible for the analysis- and verification needs (AVB) and related launch cost
Quality assures his/her area's milestone deliverables and reports according to GPDS
Leads the follow-up of deviations in VQDC
Performs manufacturing feasibility studies and sign off process
Works for process driven product development
In early phases (Annual to Program Target Compatability Checkpoint (PTCC)):
Assures that Geometry requirements are handled in concept- and system solutions
Supports the incorporation of Advanced Engineering (AE) -solutions in the Pre Program Start (Pre-PS) phase with Commercial Readiness (CR) status
Participates in and leads the Advanced Engineering (AE) / Operational Development (OD)-process within the area
In later phases (PTCC to FSR):
Geometry assures the process requirements in the product solutions
Responsible for that final requirements are followed-up, both aesthetical and functional, in test series builds and makes sure that actions are taken for deviations
Responsibilities:
Broken down and approved order and cost estimate documented in e.g. procost
Time schedules
