We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our Core Technologies Media and Graphics team within our Research & Development department.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Project Manager at Core Technologies Media and Graphics you will be a part of a very talented and devoted team with focus on edge technology, innovation and development of tomorrow’s network video solutions.
You will work closely to both hardware and software development and a keen technical interest combined with situational leadership will help you succeed. You will lead one or several parallel projects covering key areas for the team, from early definition to release to the product development organization. The role as Project Manager is highly collaborative and requires the ability to socially interact with many people inside and outside the organization.
You will have an important role in communicating and cooperating with the other product-, project- and line managers, securing the success factors defined by the project.
Your main tasks will be to
• Work with the technologies and product development organizations to refine the project ideas and specifications
• Drive project management activities like planning, follow-up and status reporting
• Manage and promote your project team, internally and externally, and fight for your project’s success within an overall successful organization
• Contribute to the development of what could be done better/more efficient
• Drive decision making and actively look for solutions
• Look for synergies and dependencies with other ongoing activities in the organization
• Dare to set challenging project objectives and inspire and coach the team to succeed
• Work closely with project manager colleagues to form and improve the way projects are run at Axis
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a team player who thrives to lead projects in a creative environment close to technology development. You are a structured and multitasking individual who promotes your surroundings and has the ability to appraise possibilities and deliver quality in time. You strive to enforce the overall success of Axis where your projects play an important role. The role as a Project Manager requires good communication and presentation skills and you are fluent in English, both written and verbal. You have a natural strong drive and the ability to impact your team, but still you are humble and skilled at situational leadership.
Your educational background is technical, preferably a Master degree in engineering; Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics. The right candidate has a strong interest in product development and substantial experience from development projects. You have experience from leading and participating in SW or HW projects, preferably experience from both. Furthermore we think you have good knowledge of development processes and project models and eager to learn/try new ways to drive projects in an efficient and successful way.
THE CORE TECHNOLOGIES MEDIA AND GRAPHICS TEAM
You will be working in the CTMG team consisting of experienced and dedicated team members developing the foundation and differentiators for Axis future products.
The team is working both closely to the latest products and with long term responsibility on technology development in various areas. The team is a competence center in the R&D organization regarding video coding, audio and image transforms.
The CTMG team takes great pride in being a creative and experimenting team, bringing new functionality to the Axis product portfolio. Our ideas and actions do matter and to be a differentiator in a high pace, successful company brings meaning and joy to the daily work.
