Do you have project management experience as well as a solid understanding of production processes and technology? Do you also have experience collaborating with different production departments? In this position you get the opportunity to lead projects and be part of developing Edet Mill.
Essity Edet Mill is a tissue mill and international distribution center located in Lilla Edet 50 kilometers north of Gothenburg in Sweden. The mill has an annual capacity of approximately 100.000 ton of tissue. The mill consists of several production steps, including recycled fiber processing, power plant, logistics, wastewater treatment, papermaking and converting as well as several support functions. Edet Mill, with approx. 400 employees is characterized by advanced technology machine lines. The development of new technology, product upgrades and improvements are continuous processes.
About the role
Essity is continuing to develop its production at Edet Mill and we are now looking for two project managers (our internal title is Project Engineer) to further enhance the processes.
As a Project Manager you lead projects through their entire lifecycle, starting with feasibility studies up to installation and commissioning of equipment. Projects are run in collaboration with production departments and the project manager is responsible for design and execution of projects before handing over the equipment to the line organization.
The projects are dependent on the end using organization and specialization towards either industrial process or manufacturing process is possible since you as Project Manager are responsible for one of these areas. The Industrial process is focused on the papermaking and pulp preparation along with energy savings. Manufacturing processes are focused on the converting of base tissue into finished products and automation of such equipment.
What you will do
Perform technical feasibility studies and issue project recommendations
Draft project plan and budget
Lead cross-functional project team to install and commission equipment within allocated budget and timeframe
Ensure safe project execution following site safety procedures
Ensure that equipment is compliant with Essity safety standards along with project specifications
Drive contact with suppliers and lead cooperation with local project team
Communicate with internal stakeholders on the status of projects
Who you are
University Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/industrial engineering or equivalent
3 years of experience on production site and working within installation and commission projects
Solid understanding of production processes and technology
Fluent English skills, both oral and written, Swedish is an advantage
You are highly organized and have the ability to prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives. Furthermore, you make good and timely decisions that keep your projects moving forward and take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency and high energy. It comes natural for you to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others as well as working independently. You have great communication skills where you listen attentively and make sure to keep others well informed.
