Rotating Indexable Tools plays a central part in securing our position as a leading global supplier of tools within metal cutting. We are looking for a driven Project Manager, with passion for product development and interacting with different parts of the business, who takes pride in solving the unexpected together with others. This is a temporary job for one year when one of our project managers is on parental leave.
The location for this position is Sandviken.
Key performance areas
As Project Manager within Product Management and R&D, your primary task is to lead development projects of our new and existing products for metal cutting. Our products are developed in project teams with participants from marketing, production, development and subsidiaries around the world. In this role, you coordinate, engage and lead a team of members from different parts of the organization who represent our many stakeholders involved.
You plan, organize, monitor, execute and control projects, ensuring project delivery on time, within budget and with required performance. You secure resources for the project, ensure efficient utilization of resources and manage dependencies, risks and opportunities.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge gained from a working career, and with a passion for technology. You have at least three years' experience from managing projects and documented experience from leading projects. You have the ability to work in diverse teams with mixed competencies and participants from different areas of the business. Previous experience or knowledge of Sandvik Coromant and our products is a plus. You have excellent skills in English, both verbal and written, and preferably also in Swedish.
