Job purpose
Support the PMO Specialist Manager in monitoring the project portfolio and proactively promote methods and roll-out of best practices. The PMO Specialist provides a consultancy service to steering groups, project managers and project support, which may take the form of help, coaching, advice and guidance.

Responsibility and Authority
• Support the PMO Specialist Manager in monitoring the project portfolio and provide project support and consultancy services to project managers
• Implement agreed regular progress and forecasting reporting mechanisms for projects, perform project follow-up and tracking and provide regular reports to management on the portfolio
• Provide a SKF IT PMO centre of expertise and tailor consistent standards and procedures, including templates, and guidance across a range of projects
• Manage quality gates for all projects in the PMO project portfolio
• Act as SKF IT PMO owner of project frameworks, templates and procedures and be responsible for ensuring they are fit for purpose, adapted to GPM2 (Prince2) governance and reporting and continue to be best practice
• Assess and monitor the effectiveness of processes and refine as necessary as well as keep up to date with and evaluate the effectiveness of project management tools and techniques
• Implement guidelines, procedures and templates to collect and maintain consistent data
• Coordinate and conduct training to new IT Project Managers for SKF recommended project management tools

Requirements

• BS in Business Administration or equivalent degree
• GPM2 or Prince2 certified is a prerequisite and minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management within IT projects or from working in a PMO
• Knowledge in ASAP8 and Activate or working in SAP projects
• Experience in creating reports in Focal Point/Excel/Cognos and working with SharePoint
• Good communication skills, being able to influence and interact at different levels in the organisation
• High level of drive and commitment, thorough and with skills to deliver action, progress and change
• Fluent in English is a prerequisite and experience from working in a multinational environment
• Good knowledge of SKF's business and existing IT environment is a merit
