We currently have the following job opening;
Project Leader Software Hybrids and/or BEV
The function area Powertrain Engineering is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. In the area, the newly formed unit Advanced Engineering & Concepts is the responsible project function for the development of new technology systems and concepts. These technologies are the main future, global powertrain solutions for the Geely group.
To strengthen our team for future challenges and projects, we are now looking for two Project Leaders Software and Functionality.
Role Summary
As Project Leader Software and Functionality you are leading the software and functionality related project work from start of project within advanced engineering up until passing concept gate. In your daily work, you work closely within the project team and with the line organizational functions in the area of Powertrain Engineering. In addition, you also work closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality and Aftermarket securing the hardware delivery at concept decision. Together, you are developing the next generation(s) of powertrain technology.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Plan and maintain the project plan for software and functionality related activities according to targets in terms of quality, delivery, cost and features
- Lead and follow-up on planned activities, e.g. requirement/function/software freeze and release, testing, calibration and validation
- Guide the line organization towards set targets and the next level of performance by maintaining a positive, constructive and challenging dialogue on technology and decisions to be taken
- Create enablers towards a positive and successful project execution within the organization
- Represent and report the software and function status of the project inside and outside the Powertrain Engineering area
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- More than 3 years of relevant experience in software and function related project management
- Meriting is previous work experience as a function/software developer and/or system engineer in large scale automotive industrial projects
- Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
- Ability to travel
- Driver's license B
