You will be part of HVDC within the Power Grids division in Sweden. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used, among other things, to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.
We are now hiring Project Directors who will have the overall responsibility for HVDC's mega projects. Our projects are global and multidisciplinary, where the size of projects varies from 100-500 million euros. In this position gives you a comprehensive view of the organization where you will have focused attention to all steps of Engineering, Procurement and Construction. Your responsibilities
Leading large and complex projects in a global team of experienced professionals and experts in their domains
Design the project implementation strategy, develop the project plans and continuously update them to ensure alignment with the project's progress
Contribute to continuous growth by adopting best practices, seeking improvement opportunities and further developing our way of executing projects.
Support managers in overseeing team development and process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution.
Lead and coach the project team and be responsible for ensuring that all project activities are made according to policies, quality standards and financial targets.
Being the key contact person for our customers and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Work in Ludvika or Västerås for a 1/2-1 year to learn our processes and then, preferably, work from project location.

Your background
Solid experience of working with large and complex projects, preferably in a global environment.
Clear focus on organizational leadership over subject matter expertise.
A high level of results orientation, attention to details, intercultural sensitivity & effectiveness and the required leadership competencies.
You will be working in a business with top of the edge- technology and therefore we see it as a plus if you have experience from similar businesses and/or have knowledge and interest within the technical area.
Flexibility and an open-mindset are important features to be successful in this role.
Previous ABB-experience is considered a plus.
