For our developing site in Sweden, TTC - Trollhättan Technical Center, we are looking for a Project Buyer who push boundaries and drives solutions for the future, you have a business global mindset and are very interested and well experienced with electrical components preferably you have a background in the automotive industry.

PROJECT BUYER

Main Responsibilities

As a Project Buyer, your main responsibilities are;

* All purchasing for this site, both for prototype and serial production, both direct and indirect.
* Investigating supplier base for cost competitive sources of supply for direct material commodities (Metal forming, Bearings, Oil Seals, Electrical and- Machined components, Fasteners, Forgings, Castings, etc.).
* Developing purchase agreements to ensure compliance with corporate strategies, policies and procedures to develop a competitive supplier relationship.
* Establishing partnership relationship between Purchasing, Engineering and Plant Operations to ensure commercial / operating alignment on local supply activities.
* Participating in cross-functional plant forums and work with heads of operations to understand all procurement requirements and plant performance objectives.
* Producing weekly / monthly performance & progress reports, set up deadlines and planning both locally and overseas.
* Monitoring supplier performance and drive resolution of complex commercial, legal and operational supply issues.
* Reducing purchase costs in line with company objectives and achieve year on year cost reductions.
* Optimizing and having a key role of the total chain within cost, logistics, product planning and investment, also efficiency and strategy due to business goals and project planning.
* Remaining abreast of industry developments and help to determine appropriate application of corporate strategies towards meeting AAM's quality, delivery and total cost objectives.
* Issues RFQ's for both existing AAM global and potential new business, evaluates suppliers, provides justification and recommends sourcing strategy to overall commodity manager and sourcing committee.
* Responsible for processing requisitions and tooling orders, managing and resolving issues and supporting the P2P process for an assigned category and/or region.
* Reviewing and processing incoming requisitions/POs, places tool orders, initiates tool order payments, initiates PPAP requests, updates POs with design changes/revisions as needed.
* Coordinating with suppliers and business partners to resolve routine issues such as past-due PO's, match exceptions, discrepancies with freight charges and freight billings, price/invoice issue resolution, updating/incrementing PO's, etc.

Role Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Accounting. Minimum 5 years purchasing experience in a global high-volume environment.

A high degree of program management, problem solving, planning, time management and organization skills, you are self-driven and flexible.

Analytical ability, critical reasoning and excellent interpersonal skills will be required in this role as well as a high level of negotiation skills and a forced character personality. Understanding of standard purchasing polices / procedures in a global corporate environment. Ability to handle pressure and deadlines and experience with working for a bigger organization. Strong Microsoft office skills, including high proficiency in EXCEL. Experience with Oracle business systems and SOX is preferred. Fluent English skills are required, Swedish language skills is preferred.
