But now we want to be even better! We're looking for a passionate Program Manager Small Separators/Marine Program to our Research & Development department.
About the job
Alfa Laval have a great ability to capture new business opportunities in new markets by identifying customer needs and then developing our separator and systems in order to meet those demands. At the moment Alfa Laval is investing heavily in development new generations of separator systems. To speed up this development we have decided to substantially increased R&D budget with a large amount of new recruitments. This is the greatest investment in high speed separators in a century! We also need to work in a different way to deliver faster. The two main components in this are how we organize ourselves and how we focus on the tasks. We therefore create three strong programs with a great deal of autonomy, reporting to a high-level steering committee, together with dedicated resources from different line organizations.
The Program Manager is the leader for the overall program. She/he sets, together with our product manager, the goals and objectives of the program and is involved in how it will affect the business.
Your role is to:
• Map out and define projects that need to be completed to reach the overall goal
• Set the overall time plan within the total program
• Set forecast and budget for the total program
• Follow up and drive progress together with the other project managers, in the total program
• Prioritize resources usage within the program to achieve set milestones, deliverables and toll gates
• Be manager over one or more highly skilled project manager
• Run project(s) within the program yourselves
You will report directly to the Head of Research & Development, and be a vital part of the R&D management team.
Qualifications
• At least 5-10 years' experience of project management mainly from managing New Product Development project
• Deep business understanding and Experience with technically complex projects creating customer values
• Delivery-oriented mindset and an overall understanding of all project elements, such as timeliness, quality, budget and risk management
• Industry experience/knowledge
• Very good communication skills
• Ability to create highly motivated and performing project teams
• Coordination and networking skills
• Experience from set-based and sprint development method is a plus
