hela Sverige The scientist will be responsible for the development and implementation of new innovative seed priming, coating and pelleting treatments, from lab to commercial scale, primarily for sugar beet seeds. Once established in the role you will have a strong basic understanding of the physiology of seed, germination and growth of young seedlings. You will also provide on-site and distance technical problem solving support to Syngenta sites around the world. The position requires good team working skill both with other scientists as well as with manufacturing, engineering and commercial colleagues.

Publiceringsdatum2012-08-15KvalifikationerFor this position we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with the following qualifications:
• A PhD preferably in Plant Biology or Chemistry. Academic studies in Plant Physiology is a requirement.
• Prior experience of working with seeds (preferably sugar beet seeds) and/or plant breeding is an advantage as well as experience from agribusiness in general.
• You are expected to have experience of working independently to tackle complex problems. You should have documented experience of project management and scientific problem solving in a laboratory environment.
• Experience from, and willingness to, work in production environment is highly beneficial.
• We see it as a great advantage if you have experience from working within international multidisciplinary project teams.
• Passion for technical and scientific innovation and problem solving is essential for success in this position. As a person you are innovative, analytical and creative. You have excellent social and communication skills. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
• You master English in speech and writing. Fluency in Swedish is an advantage.
