Background
Örebro University is in an expansive phase, both in teaching and in research. Therefore, we are looking for someone with great dedication to develop and lead our education and research within nursing science. Besides carrying out research with high quality, an important responsibility will be to promote a higher degree of connection between research and education.

The position is in nursing science.
Duties and responsibilities
Duties include supervision of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. Promoting and facilitating activities within the department to attract and secure external research funding is another important responsibility. The position holders will be expected to assume overall responsibility for the department's research activities and to monitor the development of nursing science internationally.
Duties include teaching but also developing the courses and programmes offered in the subject at the undergraduate, master's and postgraduate research levels. The precise nature of the role will depend on the successful candidates' qualifications and interests. However, the needs of the organisation are essential and the position holders' duties and responsibilities may therefore change over time. The position holders are moreover expected, within the scope of their employment, to make themselves available for executive and administrative assignments at the university. Duties also include engaging in third-stream activities.
