The position is in the area of corporate governance and accounting at the School of Business and Economics. This is an established field of research and education, including accounting, auditing, financial markets and institutions, risk management, board and ownership issues, regulations and standards, and the corporate information environment. The field includes a large number of courses at first-, second- and third-cycle levels. The research environment consists of around 15 researchers. Research and active participation in the further development of the research environment are prioritised.

Subject area for the position: Business Administration specialising in corporate governance and/or accounting.
Location: Kalmar or Växjö. Most of the work involved in the post is carried out at the placement location, but some duties may also be performed at the other location.
Scope of the position: 100%

Job description
The main duties are research and teaching at all levels within the subject area of corporate governance and accounting. The position includes developing the subject area, supervising doctoral students, leading research and research teams, applying for external funding, contributing towards the development of third-cycle education and actively helping to develop employees' competence. The position also includes collaborating and actively working to develop the research environment's contact with surrounding society. The job description requires a high level of attendance at the workplace.

Qualifications
A degree of doctor within business administration specialising in corporate governance, accounting or equivalent, and documented teaching expertise. Documented research expertise through independent research at a level that significantly exceeds the requirements for appointment as a docent.

The research expertise requirements also include documented skills in planning and managing research. This applies to both leading research work where other senior researchers are involved and supervising doctoral students.

Teaching expertise must also have been demonstrated at first-, second- and third-cycle levels. This involves planning, implementing and evaluating teaching, as well as supervision and examination.

Assessment criteria
The assessment will be based on the applicant's research and teaching expertise in accordance with the qualifications described above.

Additional assessment criteria:

• Documented breadth in relation to the research specialisation within the framework of the position's subject area
• A documented ability to obtain external funding
• Swedish-language skills would be an advantage, but are not necessary
• Documented good cooperation skills

Weighting of assessment criteria
When making the appointment, equal weight will be attached to research and teaching expertise. Active consideration will also be given to the additional assessment criteria. It is deemed to be particularly important that the applicant's research should demonstrate breadth within the subject area.

The appointment is based at the Department of Accounting and Logistics. The starting date will be as agreed. We apply a six-month probationary period.
