Since our current position holder will move in to another position within AkzoNobel we are now seeking her successor, who is ready to take on the challenge as Production Manager for the Resin Plant at AkzoNobel Industrial Coatings in Malmö/Sege,

The Production Manager will have an important role for the future of the Resin Plant since we are planning and implementing significant developments within the manufacturing, e.g additional volumes and new product range introduction. The Resin Plant produces semi-finished material for internal use in our manufacturing. The plant has a strategic role for AkzoNobel's site in Malmö but also for other AkzoNobel sites in other countries.

As Production Manager you will represent the Resin Plant at site and have the overall responsibility for such as production, quality, personnel, HSE etc. You will take a driving role for the future development of the plant. You will contribute to setting goals and bugdet for the plant and also to achieve goals and stay on budget.


Main responsibilities

• Ensure production as specified to the budgeted cost of aggregate production plan

• Personnel responsibility and accountability for staff in the department, e.g., training, performance and development dialog, hiring, absenteeism etc.

• Drive continuous improvement at department and also drive and participate in required projects on site

• Responsible that all activities of Resin plant factory is conducted according to the company guidelines and regulations

• Representing the interests of the company and plan and manage the workforce in resin plant

• University degree in engineering, preferably in chemical engineering

• 5+ years relevant working experience in similar managerial/leader position or closely related area

• Proven experience in project management of change processes

• Experience in continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous Improvement methodologies and tools is an advantage

• Knowledge of ATEX is an advantage

• Knowledge of food grade products is an advantage

• Fluent in Swedish and English (both written and spoken)

In Sweden we have approximately 300 employees at our office and production site in Sege/Malmö.
