We are the world's largest manufacturer of sodium chlorate and one of the largest producers of hydrogen peroxide. We supply essential chemicals to the global pulp industry and other selected industries from 24 locations worldwide. Our head office is located in Marietta, Georgia, USA and we employ 950 people. Both Sodium Chlorate and Hydrogen Peroxide are produced at the Alby site, which is located just outside Ånge in Västernorrland. Around 100 people are employed in Alby. Production Manager - PPC Alby
As Production Manager you are responsible to ensure cost efficient operations of, and supply from, the chlorate and hydrogen peroxide plants in Alby and to operate the plants according to laws, regulations and company standards within agreed budget. Key objectives are Safety, Environmental impact, Efficiency, Quality, and Asset integrity. You report directly to the Site Manager and are responsible for about 50 people with 12 employees reporting directly, in the areas of operations and technology. Example of tasks and responsibilities: Leads, manages and develops the production organization Ensures that the plant is being operated according to the applicable laws and permits as well as AkzoNobel policies regarding Health, Safety and Environment. Lead, manage and develop the energy management team. Has the role, Head of Production in accordance with GMP, including quality assurance, implementation of routines, correct training of personnel, validation and preventive maintenance et. C. in accordance with GMP. (GMP = Good Manufacturing Practice, for veterinary medicine). Ensures both production processes (chlorate and hydrogen peroxide) are operated in optimum production conditions.
Job requirements Masters degree of Chemical Engineering or equivalent More than 3 year's experience in management of production Excellent skills in Swedish and English, writing and oral communication Driver license As a person you are: able to lead, engage and coach others skilled at organizing, prioritizing workflow and coordinating the work of others communicative and collaborative cross-functional team player capable to drive change able to create winning teams and build your own network analytical and interested in problem solving focused on creating result interested in the technology and operations of the plants The position requires that you live in the Ånge community or in the vicinity, the position also requires some travelling. As a member of the local management team in Alby, reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in the continued success of the Alby site.
